For the second time in a few days. The occupying ‘authorities’ in the Kherson region have announced a second strike on the Chongar Bridge

Vladimir Saldo, Russia’s representative in the occupied part of the Kherson region, has reported a second strike by Ukrainian drones on the bridge in Chongar.

He posted about this on social media.

Traffic across the bridge has now been blocked, and drivers are being asked to use alternative routes via Armiansk and Perekop.

According to Saldo, more than 20 drones were shot down as they approached the bridge, without which ‘the consequences could have been much more serious’.

This is the second strike on the Chongar Bridge in recent days. Last time, Saldo wrote about an attack on the bridge on 7 June, after which traffic was restored in a two-way system.

It later emerged that the operation was carried out by the ‘Phalanx’ unit of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubailo and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2.

Fire Point drones and ‘Behemoth’ UAVs were used in the strike. This, it is said, created difficulties for the supply of the occupying Russian forces.

As a reminder, on 29 May, the Main Intelligence Directorate announced that it had established fire control over the land corridor between Crimea and Donetsk Oblast.
