Parcel delivery to Kharkiv: Ukrposhta has introduced temporary changes
This was announced on Telegram by Igor Smiliansky, CEO of JSC ‘Ukrposhta’.
According to the company’s head, following the strike, staff quickly reorganised logistics processes and set up temporary delivery routes. Operations were stabilised within the day.
Smiliansky noted that the first parcels arrived at Kharkiv branches by lunchtime, even though rescue workers were still at the site of the damaged facility.
The company has now launched temporary delivery routes and stabilised the network’s operations. However, some parcels to Kharkiv coming from remote regions may take approximately one day longer than usual to arrive.
“Yes, for a while, parcels to Kharkiv may take a day longer if they are coming from far away. From Kharkiv, everything should be running to schedule,” added the CEO of Ukrposhta.
The company is also continuing to assess the consequences of the attack. By Wednesday evening, Ukrposhta plans to compile a list of items that were lost or damaged as a result of the shelling. Their owners will be compensated.
“Tomorrow and the day after, we will have good news, and we will focus on positive emotions,” concluded Smiliansky.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that the Temu and AliExpress marketplaces may automatically charge 20% VAT to buyers in Ukraine.
