Russian attacks in various regions of Ukraine have claimed the lives of six people, with dozens more injured

During the night of 9 June and over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked a number of regions in Ukraine using drones, missiles and artillery. At least six people have been killed and dozens injured.

Kharkiv Region

In Kharkiv, 15 people were injured as a result of a night-time attack by Russian strike drones, including three children, one of whom was a one-year-old boy. Three women were hospitalised. Eleven UAV strikes were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts, with a further two drones crashing without detonating.

One of the drones struck a high-rise residential building; cars nearby were burnt out and dozens of vehicles were damaged. Another drone became lodged between the eighth and ninth floors of a block of flats, after which residents were evacuated. Administrative and industrial premises, a business centre, a café, a church and transport were also damaged.

Three people were killed in Chuhuiv as a result of the Russian strike. The victims included two men aged 70 and 56, and a 70-year-old woman. Six people were injured. Apartment blocks and private homes in the city were damaged, and fires broke out.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian forces launched drone attacks on three districts of the region nearly 20 times. In the Nikopol district, two men aged 42 and 43 were injured. Infrastructure, residential buildings, a pharmacy, a café, farm buildings and cars were damaged.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, a private house and a garage were on fire, and a fire engine was damaged. In the Pavlohradskyi district, a private house and a farm building were destroyed, and another house was damaged. A 63-year-old woman was injured.

Sumy region

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army attacked 21 communities in the region using guided aerial bombs, attack drones, FPV drones, artillery and mortars. Two civilians were killed and a further 13 people were injured.

In the Konotop community, a 78-year-old woman was killed. An 8-year-old boy, women aged 41 and 75, and a 44-year-old man were injured. An apartment block, ten private houses and vehicles were damaged.

A 71-year-old man was killed in the Seredyna-Buda community. A 68-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were injured. Four men were injured in the Hlukhiv community. In the Trostyanets community, a two-year-old boy and a 25-year-old woman were injured. A man was also injured in the Khutir Mykhailivska community.

In a number of communities, residential buildings, farm buildings, shops, an educational establishment, vehicles and other civilian facilities were damaged.

Zaporizhzhia region

In Zaporizhzhia, 11 residential buildings in the Khortytskyi, Zavodskyi and Kosmichnyi districts were damaged as a result of a drone attack. Six apartment blocks and five private houses were damaged. Windows, balconies, doors and roofs were damaged.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, one person was killed and 13 others were injured, including a child, as a result of Russian attacks. Six high-rise and 20 private houses, a mobile phone mast, outbuildings, water pipes and cars were damaged.

Donetsk region

On 8 June, Russian troops killed two residents of the region. The fatalities occurred in Bilozerske and Druzhkivka.

A further 11 people were injured. Nine were injured in Sloviansk, and two in Shabelkivka, Kramatorsk City Council.
