Russian military casualties have exceeded 1.37 million
As of 9 June 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine stand at approximately 1,376,320 personnel. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army lost a further 1,370 soldiers in the past 24 hours alone.
Russian forces also lost four tanks, bringing the total number of tanks destroyed to 12,001. Losses of armoured combat vehicles rose to 24,710 following the destruction of a further five vehicles.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military destroyed 75 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems and two air defence systems. Russia’s total losses in this category amount to 43,639 artillery systems, 1,851 MLRS and 1,411 air defence systems.
In addition, the Russian army lost seven ground-based robotic systems and 2,103 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles. The total number of UAVs destroyed stands at 338,327.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces also destroyed 382 vehicles and tankers, as well as four units of specialised equipment. Total losses in these categories have risen to 104,796 and 4,253 units respectively.
According to the General Staff, Russia’s losses in aviation and the navy remain unchanged at 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 33 ships and boats, as well as two submarines.
The General Staff noted that the figures are subject to revision.
