Andriy Yermak regained his right to practise law after resigning from the Office of the President
Former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak regained his right to practise law on 23 January. This is evidenced by data from the National Bar Association of Ukraine and the Unified Register of Lawyers.
According to the register, Yermak has not practised law since February 2020, when Volodymyr Zelenskyy became head of the Office of the President. At the same time, his total experience in the profession is almost 25 years, as he received his licence to practise law in December 1995.
Yermak's resignation took place in November 2025 amid high-profile investigations by anti-corruption authorities into large-scale corruption at the Energoatom company. However, no charges were brought against him. After his dismissal, he publicly announced his intention to go to the front, but the Ministry of Defence later reported that no applications had been received from him to the territorial recruitment centres.
Yermak was replaced as head of the Presidential Office by Kirill Budanov, who previously headed the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
