21 countries have joined PURL — commitments exceed $4 billion for Ukraine
An additional 21 country has joined the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) initiative. This was announced by Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sibiga, on Facebook, reports The Public. As a result, the total commitments have exceeded 4 billion US dollars. These funds will be used to purchase defense equipment, machinery, and other means to support the Armed Forces and rebuild the country.
According to representatives of the Ukrainian side, the expansion of the aid alliance is a signal of solidarity with Ukraine and the readiness of partner countries to invest resources in the defense of democracy. The new PURL participants joined in recent days, signing the relevant documents and confirming their willingness to fulfill their commitments.
Thanks to this increase, resources allocated for critical defense needs can be delivered much faster. Authorities assure that the funds will be directed transparently — through official mechanisms and under the control of independent bodies.
This step also aims to strengthen allies' confidence in the importance of supporting Ukraine in the long term. The accession of new countries to PURL means that the Western coalition is ready to respond in a united manner — not only in words but also with financial guarantees.
