The US President called the phone conversation with Vladimir Putin "productive" and announced a new meeting.

This is reported by  ThePublic.info citing  Trump's post on his social network Truth Social.

"At the end of the conversation, we agreed that next week there will be a high-level advisors' meeting. The first meetings on the US side will be led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio along with others who will be appointed later. The meeting place has not yet been determined," - said the American leader.

Trump added that he will meet with Putin in Budapest to discuss the possibility of ending the "disgraceful" war between Russia and Ukraine.

According to the American leader, Putin congratulated him during the conversation on achieving peace in the Middle East.

"I truly believe that success in the Middle East will help us in negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine," - emphasized Trump.

He said that during the conversation, trade between Russia and the US after the end of the war in Ukraine was also discussed.

"President Zelensky and I will meet tomorrow in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin and much more. I believe that today's phone call made significant progress," - he emphasized.

The upcoming meeting of US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is great news for peace-loving peoples of the world, wrote Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on social media. According to him, Hungary is ready for the Trump-Putin summit.

"The scheduled meeting of the Presidents of America and Russia is great news for peace-loving peoples of the world. We are ready," - Orbán wrote.
