Kyiv: detention of a drug dealer and serving him with a notice of suspicion
Kyiv police caught a 37-year-old foreigner with four kilograms of cocaine hidden in a minibus. The black market value of the seized cocaine is estimated at UAH 35 million.

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a 37-year-old foreigner who had set up the supply and sale of cocaine in the capital. The operation was carried out by operatives and investigators of the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department under the procedural supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the man was transporting drugs in a rented minibus, disguising them in boxes of household goods. The detention took place on a city street during the regular transportation of a consignment for further sale. During the search, the police seized about four kilograms of cocaine, a mobile phone and a vehicle.

According to law enforcement estimates, the value of the seized drugs at black market prices is about UAH 35 million. The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine with the support of the Special Forces.

Investigators served the man a notice of suspicion under part three of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is about the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation and sale of narcotic drugs on a particularly large scale. The article provides for up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The suspect is currently in custody, and law enforcement officers are identifying possible accomplices and drug supply channels.
