Demand for bunkers in Russia has surged by 140%. The customers include top Moscow executives, businesspeople and even government officials.

This is reported by Shot.

The growing interest in such solutions comes against the backdrop of the war with Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East.

The customers for these bunkers, which offer shelter from airborne threats, are top Moscow executives, businesspeople and even officials.

The bunker manufacturer has reported that since the beginning of March 2026, orders have been coming in almost daily, and the waiting list for installation has stretched into the summer.

In particular, there has been a surge in interest in installing shelters at dachas and country properties — the number of applications has increased 2.5-fold.

Basic turnkey bunker solutions cost from 2 million roubles ($30,000).

These are compact, fortified structures for two people with a minimal set of amenities, installed at a depth of up to five metres.

Most affluent clients opt for bespoke designs with increased floor space, living areas, a kitchen, a shower and leisure facilities.

Expensive options costing from 20 million roubles ($30,000) are fully-fledged underground flats.

They are built using reinforced concrete structures based on technologies employed in the construction of underground stations.

The bunkers are equipped with water and fuel supplies, self-contained life support systems and airtight ventilation.

Such shelters are designed for long-term stays and can support a family’s self-sufficient existence for several months.

Information regarding the location of the bunkers and the identities of the clients is classified under the terms of the contract.
