Yermak’s Resignation and Global Tensions: Donald Tusk Reacts
A major reshuffle in the Office of the President of Ukraine is unfolding amid active international developments — a combination that has already drawn attention from European political leaders. As reported by ThePublic.info, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reacted to the changes with a statement on X, linking the events in Kyiv to ongoing discussions around the U.S. “peace plan.”
According to Tusk, the current situation appears to be a “fatal combination”:
“Orban goes to Putin, Nawrocki goes to Orban. Chaos in the negotiations over the ‘Vitkoff plan,’ and a political crisis in Kyiv,” the Polish PM wrote.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited Moscow and once again expressed the idea of making Budapest a platform for peace talks regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
On the evening of November 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the dismissal of Presidential Office head Andriy Yermak and declared the start of consultations to determine his successor. According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine will be represented in future peace negotiations by Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and intelligence services, as well as National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
