A listening device was found in the flat of the head of one of the NABU’s detective units
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine found a listening device in the flat of the head of one of its detective units.
This was stated by the NABU.
According to the Bureau, the owner of the flat one floor above said that people who identified themselves as law enforcement officers had visited him and claimed that a Russian spy was living below him. Detectives identified one of these men as a serving SBU officer.
NABU notes that the detective, in whose flat a listening device was found, is investigating a number of high-profile cases: corruption at customs, the activities of certain law enforcement officers and state-owned enterprises.
NABU has launched criminal proceedings under the article on violation of privacy. ‘Babel’ contacted the SBU for comment on this matter but had not received a response at the time of publication.
