A Russian drone attacked an evacuation vehicle belonging to a humanitarian mission in Druzhkivka
In Druzhkivka, in the Donetsk region, a Russian FPV drone attacked an evacuation team from the ‘Proliska’ humanitarian mission. This was reported by the organisation’s founder, Yevhen Kaplin.
According to him, the attack took place on 3 June at around 10:00. An armoured vehicle used to evacuate people from dangerous areas was hit.
The vehicle had clear ‘evacuation’ markings on all sides and on the roof. The drone struck the upper part of the vehicle above the driver’s cab.
The armoured vehicle withstood the impact. The driver of the evacuation crew was unharmed, but the vehicle sustained damage. Experts are currently assessing the extent of the damage.
“We regard this strike as yet another deliberate war crime by the Russian army. The armour withstood the impact, and the driver is unharmed. An assessment of the damage caused to the vehicle is currently underway,” said Yevhen Kaplin.
He also reported that this armoured vehicle had been operating on evacuation routes in the Donetsk region for just ten days after its purchase.
According to the mission’s founder, the nature of the attack indicates an attempt to inflict maximum harm on the driver.
