A Russian strike on Dergachi claimed the lives of two people, with a further 19 injured
On 25 May, the Russian army launched a missile strike on the town of Derhachi in the Kharkiv region. Initially, Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported one fatality and several casualties.
According to preliminary data, a 57-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were injured. The number of casualties subsequently rose to four.
Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that two people had been killed and a further 19 injured as a result of the attack.
A fire broke out on the premises of a civilian enterprise following the strike. The blast wave also damaged warehouse buildings, a block of flats, and lorries and cars.
Rescue workers extinguished the fire. Operational units of the State Emergency Service, a bomb disposal team and community rescue officers were involved in the operation.
