Armenia has launched the Eagle Partner 2026 international military exercises
As part of preparations for participation in international peacekeeping missions, the annual Eagle Partner 2026 military exercises will take place in the Republic of Armenia from 17 to 25 June.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Defence, 250 service personnel from the Armenian Armed Forces’ peacekeeping brigade will take part in the exercises. Also taking part will be 58 military personnel from the US Army in Europe and Africa and the Kansas National Guard, 24 representatives of the French Armed Forces and 11 military personnel from the Greek Armed Forces.
During the exercises, participants will practise the preparation for and execution of peacekeeping tasks.
The aim of Eagle Partner 2026 is to enhance the interoperability of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, to exchange experience in the fields of command and control and tactical communications, as well as strengthening the readiness of the Armenian Armed Forces’ peacekeeping unit.
The Armenian Ministry of Defence noted that, as part of preparations for international peacekeeping operations, units regularly take part in joint military exercises and training in partner countries.
