Russian airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia: dozens of wounded and large-scale destruction

The enemy conducted a series of air strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the district, destroying residential buildings and wounding at least 29 people, including five children

Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district with guided aerial bombs. According to preliminary data, three strikes were recorded, including on residential buildings and infrastructure. Telegram channels report.

In the regional centre, two apartment buildings were hit. One of them was heavily damaged, twelve other residential buildings, both apartment and private, were damaged. An educational institution and an infrastructure facility were also damaged. A fire broke out in a nine-storey building and was extinguished by rescuers.

As of now, 29 people have sought medical assistance, including five children aged 2 to 13. Three of the injured are in serious condition, 14 others are in moderate condition. They have shrapnel wounds, contusions and acute stress reactions.

SES units rescued one person from the centre of danger. Psychologists provided assistance to 23 victims, including two children and two people with reduced mobility. Search and rescue operations are underway at one of the addresses with the involvement of a dog unit.

Utilities have already started restoration work, and specialists from district administrations are recording the extent of the damage. All the city's emergency services and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross are working on the ground. The threat of repeated strikes remains.
