The ESBU shut down three illegal petrol stations in the Kyiv region
Detectives from the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation in the Kyiv region shut down three illegal petrol stations operating in the Brovary and Boryspil districts.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the petrol stations were trading in fuel in gross violation of the law. In particular, the petrol stations did not have fuel quality certificates or documents confirming its origin.
As a result of authorised searches, law enforcement officers seized four fuel dispensers, almost 7,000 litres of diesel fuel and over 1,600 litres of A 95 petrol. In addition, detectives seized financial and business documents, computer equipment, rough notes and cash, which may indicate the extent of illegal activity.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for the illegal manufacture, storage and sale of excisable goods. Law enforcement officers are establishing the full circle of persons involved in the organisation of illegal refuelling stations.
The case is being prosecuted by prosecutors from the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
