On 29 April, in the village of Verba in the Dubno district of the Rivne region, a man opened fire with an automatic weapon at soldiers and a police officer. Two people were injured in the shooting.

The incident took place on 29 April at around 5.00 pm in the village of Verba, Dubno District, Rivne Region. Members of the rapid response unit, accompanied by a community police officer, spotted a man carrying a bicycle.

When they approached him to check his documents, the man suddenly opened fire with an automatic rifle.

As a result of the shooting, one soldier and one police officer were injured.

Law enforcement officers have identified the attacker. He is currently being sought. A criminal investigation has been launched into the incident on charges of attempted murder.

The Rivne Regional Police Headquarters has launched a special police operation to locate and apprehend the perpetrator.

Police are searching for the attacker.
