Head of SAPO declares record salary of over UAH 760 thousand in December
The Head of the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Oleksandr Klymenko declared over UAH 760 thousand in salary for December 2025. The corresponding notification of significant changes in property status was submitted on 19 December. Glavkom reports.
For comparison, in November his salary was just over UAH 152 thousand, and in October it was about UAH 161 thousand. Thus, his salary increased almost fivefold in one month. The increase in income came amid the investigation of the high-profile Midas case.
In total, in 2025, Klymenko received UAH 3.7 million from the SAPO. He declared another UAH 1.4 million as income from his work in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the declaration, Klymenko owns a room of 18.5 square metres and a plot of land in Dmytrivka near Kyiv. His wife has the right to use a 78-square-metre apartment in Kyiv free of charge and also rents a 14-square-metre parking space.
The head of the SAPO does not have a car, but uses a 2012 Volkswagen CC. His wife owns a 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman. Klymenko has declared about 3 million hryvnias in his bank accounts, as well as more than $112,000 in cash.
As reported earlier, in October 2025, some of the highest salaries among law enforcement officers were received by the heads of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, where individual payments exceeded 380 thousand hryvnias per month. In addition, after the «reset», the management of the Bureau of Economic Security has increased their salaries. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance noted that the average salary of employees in 2026 will decrease, from 39.7 thousand. UAH, which is UAH 3.6 thousand less than it is in the draft budget for the next year (UAH 43.3 thousand) and UAH 21.7 thousand less than in 2025 (UAH 61.4 thousand).
