The enemy is increasingly deploying its main asset — ballistic missiles
Since the beginning of July, Russia has fired more ballistic missiles at Ukraine than it produces in a month. Analysts believe that the enemy is depleting its own stockpiles.

This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War.

American analysts cite the Ukrainian defence publication Militarnyi. The latter reported that in July alone, Russia may have used up to two-thirds of its planned annual production of ‘Zircon’ missiles.

What is more, in July the enemy launched more ballistic missiles at Ukraine than it produces in a month.

According to reports from the Air Force, since the beginning of July, Russian forces have used the following against Ukraine:

  • 107 ballistic missiles;
  • 20 ‘Zircon’ missiles.

The publication Militarnyi has learnt from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence that every month the Russians produce:

  • around 60 ‘Iskander-M’ ballistic missiles;
  • approximately 40 missiles for the S-400 systems.

“It appears that Russia is drawing on its stockpiles to continue increasing the number of ballistic missiles it is firing at Ukraine, as these missiles have a higher success rate than drones and cruise missiles,” analysts explain.

The ISW team also noted that the Russian armed forces have sharply reduced the number of drones used during night-time attacks.

Since the start of the month, the Russians have deployed 2,955 drones, compared with 5,749 in June.
