In Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, a drone or its debris struck the building of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court. Local residents reported an explosion and a drone flying at low altitude.

In Nizhny Novgorod, a drone or its debris fell onto the roof of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court building. This was reported by monitoring Telegram channels.

Residents of the city’s Sovetsky District, where the court is located, reported an explosion and a drone flying at low altitude.

According to preliminary information, Russian electronic warfare systems attempted to jam the drone, after which it changed its flight path and crashed into the court building.

Footage released shows damage to the dome and roof of the building, as well as a small amount of smoke. A drone threat alert was issued in the region.

Russian media report that the area around the court has been cordoned off, with police and emergency services personnel on duty at the scene.

The mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Gleb Nikitin, confirmed the strike. According to him, no one was injured as a result of the incident, and court hearings have been postponed. Emergency services are working at the scene.

The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed to have shot down 62 Ukrainian drones, including some over the Nizhny Novgorod region.
