In the Donetsk region, a woman was hiding a Russian soldier in her home — she was arrested and the militant was killed
This has been reported by the SBU.
According to the investigation, a Russian soldier with the call sign ‘Shaman’ infiltrated the territory of Lyman to reconnoitre the positions of Ukrainian troops. There, he met an unemployed local woman and offered her the chance to direct strikes against Ukrainian troops in Lyman and the surrounding area.
To this end, the woman would walk around the area under the guise of going for walks and scout out the Defence Forces’ bases. She would then pass on the geolocation of potential targets to the Russian militant, who would report the coordinates for shelling to his command via radio.
The SBU established that Shaman served in the 31st Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 67th Motorised Rifle Division of the 25th Combined Arms Army of Russia’s Central Military District.
The woman has been charged with treason and is currently in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
During a special operation, Ukrainian soldiers killed a Russian soldier when he offered armed resistance.
As a reminder, the SBU previously detained Russian agents who were ‘hunting’ Ukrainian politicians and military commanders.
