Iranian media have reported a missile attack on a US Navy vessel following an attempt to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The United States denies this claim.

Iran fired two missiles at a US Navy vessel after it attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by the semi-official Fars news agency, according to the Times of Israel.

The report states that the American vessel became the target of a missile strike after ignoring warnings from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s naval forces.

According to local sources cited by the agency, the ship was hit and was unable to continue its journey after the strikes, after which it retreated and left the area.

According to Axios, the United States has denied reports of the incident.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that the US military would escort ships remaining blocked in the Strait of Hormuz and would respond with force to any attempts to hinder this operation.
