The EU is considering sanctions against Israel
This was stated by European Commission spokesperson Anouar El-Anouni in comments to Haaretz.
According to him, the EU has taken note of reports that a vessel belonging to Russia’s ‘shadow fleet’, which was transporting stolen Ukrainian grain, was granted permission to unload at the port of Haifa in Israel despite Ukraine’s prior contacts with the Israeli authorities on this matter.
The European Union condemns all actions that contribute to the financing of Russia’s war against Ukraine and “is ready to take measures against such actions, adding, where necessary, individuals and legal entities from third countries to the sanctions list,” he added.
