Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Serhiy Zakharievich, was killed in a Russian missile strike on Huliaipole.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Colonel Serhii Zakharievich, was killed as a result of an attack by the occupiers on Huliaipole with a missile. He also added that 30 people were injured.

“Unfortunately, there are losses – both military and civilian. The commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Colonel Zakharievich, has died, along with other guys from the brigade. My condolences to all the relatives and loved ones,” said the president.

He added that a full investigation into the circumstances of this strike is currently underway.

The 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade also confirmed the death of their commander.

“He was a brave warrior, a true officer and commander trusted with lives. Always beside his fighters – not in the headquarters, but on the front lines. Calm, decisive, principled. A person who held the front not only by orders but by personal example. He was respected, looked up to. His death is a painful loss for everyone who served shoulder to shoulder with him,” the brigade's statement reads.
