Combined Russian strike: Air Forces reported 320 neutralized targets

On the night of October 3, the enemy launched a combined strike on Ukrainian territory using attack UAVs, air- and ground-launched missiles.

This is reported by  ThePublic.info with reference to  Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

In total, the enemy used 416 air attack means:

  • 381 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Heron type (other types of drones) from directions Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk — RF;
  • 7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
  • 21 Iskander-K cruise missile;
  • 7 guided aviation missiles X-59/69.

The main strike direction is critical infrastructure objects (energy sector) in Kharkiv and Poltava regions. Also, as a result of the night attack, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions were affected.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to preliminary data, as of 10:00, 320 air targets have been shot down/neutralized by air defense:

  • 303 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Heron type (other types of drones);
  • 12 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
  • 5 guided aviation missiles X-59/69.

Hits were recorded on 18 missiles and 78 strike UAVs at 15 locations, as well as the fall of downed (wreckage) at 6 locations.
