The key task of the new Cabinet of Ministers is to ensure that the Ukrainian Defence Forces are fully equipped and to expand the Ukrainian defence industry.

The new Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretskyi, made the following statement/

As the head of government stated, he is taking up his duties with clearly defined priorities.

“Our main task is to fully equip the Ukrainian Defence Forces and scale up the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex. We will do everything to ensure that, for every long-range operation, every precision strike and for the defence of positions on the front line, Ukrainian soldiers have sufficient forces and resources: drones of all types, ground-based robotic systems, and modern equipment and weaponry,” said Koretskyi.

In addition, active preparations are beginning to get the country ready for winter. Support for Ukrainian citizens and businesses is also planned.

“It is our duty to fulfil all the state’s social obligations, ensuring the timely payment of pensions, social assistance and the funding of key public services,” added Koretskyi.

Attention will also be focused on the problems faced by frontline communities, which suffer daily from Russian terror.

Furthermore, strengthening cooperation with international partners, securing additional resources and making the most effective use of international aid remain priorities.

“Our strategic course remains unchanged – Ukraine’s full membership of the European Union. Let’s get to work,” concluded Koretskyi.

It should be recalled that Serhiy Koretskyi became Prime Minister of Ukraine on 16 July 2026. The decision was passed by 289 members of parliament.
