The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, brought an AI-powered humanoid robot to the First Ladies and Gentlemen’s Summit.

CNN reports this.

Melania Trump invited representatives from 45 countries to the White House, including Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska, to discuss the role of artificial intelligence and education. Officials from nine countries presented national strategies for integrating technology into education systems.

Melania entered the hall, where guests were waiting for her, to music and accompanied by Figure 3 — an American humanoid robot powered by artificial intelligence.

Both the US First Lady and the robot stood out against the red carpet in their white outfits. Melania noticeably slowed her pace to walk in step with the robot.

“In all fairness, it’s worth noting: this is my first American-made humanoid guest at the White House,” she said, drawing smiles from the audience.

Before the meeting began, the robot delivered a short speech in a female voice: “I am grateful to be part of this historic movement aimed at empowering children through technology and education.”

Figure 3 greeted the guests in the hall in their native languages, including a “Welcome” in Ukrainian. Ukraine’s First Lady Zelenska watched from the front row of the hall.

Figure 3’s manufacturer noted that the robot could be useful for tasks such as fetching towels, groceries or serving champagne. But Melania Trump believes it can be used in education.

“The future of artificial intelligence is ‘personalised’. It will take on human form. Very soon, artificial intelligence will move from our mobile phones to humanoids that will be of use,” she said.
