The Ministry of Defense is launching a special training program for support service specialists in medical institutions
The information was announced by the head of the Central Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksandr Kutkov.
Military personnel will be trained in enhanced psychological support and the specifics of social assistance for the wounded. Currently, the recruitment of future specialists for the first course under the updated training program is underway.
«Servicemen who have been wounded, injured, concussed, or fallen ill during combat missions require special support and assistance. This is related to temporary physical limitations and psychological exhaustion», - noted Oleksandr Kutkov.
Therefore, according to him, military personnel who successfully complete courses focused on communication with wounded servicemen and providing them with social support during treatment will work in medical facilities.
In the first stage, support service workers will operate in medical facilities in 24 cities across Ukraine.
Current servicemen, war veterans, including those with disabilities, are invited to participate in training and subsequent work as support service workers.
Their task is to provide military personnel and their family members with support assistance and consultations on legal, social, everyday, and medical issues. Support service workers maintain constant communication between servicemen, their families, medical facilities, social services, public organizations, and government authorities.
