Eight people have been killed and a further 11 injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region as a result of Russian strikes
This was reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marganetska, Myrivska, Pokrovska and Chervonohryhorivska were hit. Infrastructure, private homes and cars were damaged.
Three people were injured. A 16-year-old boy was hospitalised in a moderately serious condition. Another 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man are receiving outpatient treatment.
In the Synelnykivskyi district, Russian troops attacked the Dubovykivska and Mykolaivska communities. Over 20 homes were damaged. Two people were killed.
A further nine houses were damaged by a strike on the area on 12 May. Four people were killed and four others injured. Three people were hospitalised; a 50-year-old man is in a serious condition.
In Kryvyi Rih, a business, infrastructure and a gas pipeline were damaged. Two people were killed and four others were injured.
Later, Oleksandr Hanzha reported that the explosions heard in Dnipro were linked to the work of air defence forces. He urged residents to remain in safe places until the air raid alert was over.
In Kryvyi Rih, the city was attacked again by Shahed drones during the night and in the morning. Seventeen drones were shot down over the region, but there were also hits. Businesses and infrastructure have been damaged.
