On 4 May, the Ukrainian Defence Forces recorded 149 combat engagements with Russian troops. The heaviest fighting took place in the Huliaipole and Pokrovsk sectors.

As of the morning of 5 May, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 149 combat engagements over the past 24 hours.

Russian forces carried out one missile strike, conducted 75 air strikes and dropped 273 guided bombs. They also deployed 9,649 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,572 shelling attacks, 33 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

Air strikes were carried out in the areas of Velyka Pysarivka and Vilna Sloboda in Sumy Oblast, as well as Tsvitkove, Lyubytske, Verkhnia Tersa and Vozdvyzhivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The Defence Forces’ aviation, missile forces and artillery struck three command posts, seven areas where personnel were concentrated, one air defence system and four artillery systems belonging to Russian troops.

Five clashes took place in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out 80 attacks, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, four assaults were recorded in the areas of Prylipka, Starytsia and Ambarne.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian units repelled one attack near Radkivka.

In the Lyman sector, six attempted advances were repelled in the areas of Drobysheve, Lyman, Yampil and Ozerny.

In the Sloviansk direction, three attacks were recorded in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, three combat engagements took place in the areas of Malynivka, Nykyforivka and Virolyubivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 16 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Toretsk, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 24 assaults in the areas of Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Rodynske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and Muravka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, seven attacks were recorded in the areas of Sichneve, Yegorivka, Novozaporizhzhia, Zlagoda and Verbove.

The highest number of attacks took place in the Huliaipole sector, where 29 combat engagements were recorded in the areas of Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Olenokostyantynivka, Yablukove, Sviatopetrivka, Charivne, Verkhnia Tersa and Vozdvyzhivska.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted to advance in the area of Shcherbakiv.

In the Dnipro sector, Ukrainian units repelled three attacks in the direction of Antonivka.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of Russian troops forming offensive groups have been detected.
