NBC News: Israel's "Iron Dome" has started allowing more rockets to pass through
In the last 24 hours, only 65% of the missiles launched at Israel by Iran have been intercepted. Previously, up to 90% of Iranian missiles were intercepted.
"Iran still possesses very sophisticated missiles, and they are using them," - confirmed to journalists a former senior Israeli intelligence official who continues to receive daily intelligence data. This was reported by NBC News.
According to him, on the morning of June 19, Iran launched more modern and faster ballistic missiles, which gave Israel's air defense less time to prepare. Previously, alerts came 10-11 minutes in advance, but during the morning attack, the time was reduced to seven minutes.
"This means that the missiles were probably much faster than before. Even more importantly, the Iranians have a navigation system for the final phase of the attack, which helps them be very precise and target exactly the objectives they want, such as a hospital," he explained.
Israel is concerned that Iran still has large missile arsenals and can deliver significant strikes over an extended period. Israeli military officials describe Iran's strategy as "strategic patience," and some have prematurely dismissed Iran's ability to conduct missile launches.
"We must be much more cautious when talking about the inevitable collapse of the regime, which is far from the reality," added the official.
