Overnight Drone Strike in Chechnya: Reports of Fire at FSB Building

A series of drone strikes was reported in Chechnya overnight. Social media users described a fire at a Federal Security Service (FSB) building and explosions near the city of Gudermes. Russian authorities have not officially confirmed the incident.

As ThePublic.info reports, the Russian Telegram channel Astra stated that a nighttime drone attack in Chechnya damaged a building belonging to the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) in the Achkhoy-Martan district. The channel noted that a fire broke out at the site following the strike.

Russian authorities have issued no official comments on the incident, although the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) claimed it had “shot down four Ukrainian drones over Chechnya.”

In addition, the Telegram channel Supernova+ released a video that reportedly shows drones striking the city of Gudermes, suggesting that the intended target may have been an area linked to the Akhmat regiment.
