Germany will transfer two more Patriot systems to Ukraine
Germany will deliver Patriot launchers to Ukraine in the coming days, and within two to three months, the rest of the components for deploying two more full-fledged missile defense systems.

This is mentioned in the official statement of the German Ministry of Defense, published on August 1.

These systems, which were in Germany in line for repair, have been adapted by partners for use in Ukraine, and they will be ready for combat deployment. The German government approved this delivery in coordination with the U.S. Department of Defense.

By agreement, Berlin will receive the latest Patriot systems from the American manufacturer as a priority. The funding for the new systems will be provided by the German side.

«After NATO-level negotiations, we have been ready since the beginning of the year to provide Ukraine with additional Patriot components — provided that the manufacturer promptly replaces them with new ones. The U.S. has guaranteed this, and now we can support Ukraine. Germany once again demonstrates that it is the largest donor of air defense for the Ukrainian Armed Forces,» said Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

In Berlin, it was emphasized that the transfer will not affect Germany's commitments to NATO — the Bundeswehr will maintain full combat readiness of its air defense units, including during training exercises.
