Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian convoy near Pokrovsk during breakthrough attempt
Ukrainian defence forces destroyed a convoy of Russian vehicles near Pokrovsk in Donetsk region as the enemy attempted to approach the town before dawn.
The attack took place on 10 January, a few kilometres south of the frontline. The footage of the combat operation was released by the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, the occupants' column was detected at a distance of about 6-7 kilometres south of the front line. Russian units tried to move towards the city in the so-called «grey time» — before sunrise, using the darkness as a cover.
The enemy vehicles and infantry were hit by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles of the 155th separate mechanised brigade named after Anna Kyivska. As a result of the work of Ukrainian pilots, the convoy was destroyed on the approach to Pokrovsk.
