Investigative actions are continuing in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Lviv regions as part of an investigation into abuses in the field of waste management.

The National Police of Ukraine is conducting large-scale investigative activities in several regions of the country as part of criminal proceedings into the alleged embezzlement of state funds. The case concerns abuse during the collection, removal and disposal of solid household waste.

In agreement with the prosecutor's office and on the basis of court orders, searches are being conducted in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions. Investigators are working at several locations simultaneously: solid waste landfills, office premises, places of registration and residence of those involved in the case, as well as in the vehicles they use.

In order to seize documentation that may be relevant to the investigation, one of the searches is being conducted at a municipal enterprise located in the Dnipro City Council building.

The National Police notes that all investigative actions are being carried out in accordance with current legislation. Details of the criminal proceedings and additional information will be made public after the initial measures have been completed.
