The President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Israel simultaneously announced a "historic victory"
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the country achieved a "historic victory" after the 12-day war, which, according to him, was imposed on Tehran by Israel, reports CNN.

"Thanks to the courageous resistance of your great people, who are making history, we have witnessed a ceasefire and the end of a 12-day war imposed on the Iranian people through adventurism and incitement by the Israeli government," said Pesezskian in a message to the nation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also characterized the end of the war as a "historic victory" for his people, which, according to him, will have significance for future generations.

 

"Israel has eliminated the existential nuclear threat, as well as thousands of Iranian ballistic missiles," he added.

On the eve, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the reaching of an agreement between Israel and Iran regarding a complete ceasefire.
