A new stage of prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia has taken place
Most of the soldiers who returned from Russian captivity had been there for over two years. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

"These are the defenders of Mariupol, Donetsk region, Luhansk region, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson region, Kharkiv region, and Chernihiv region. Soldiers of the Armed Forces, National Guard, Border Service. I am grateful to all who are bringing our people back. We are working so that exchanges continue further until we return everyone," - wrote Zelensky.

In the Coordination Headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war, noted that all the released defenders today have injuries or severe medical diagnoses: epilepsy, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, vision problems, musculoskeletal diseases, hernias, chronic diseases of the digestive organs. Many of the liberated have been diagnosed with weight loss.

The defenders will be taken to medical centers for all necessary examinations, further treatment, and medical rehabilitation. All those released will be provided with necessary assistance, their documents will be restored, and they will receive due monetary compensation for their time in captivity.
