Reuters: Ukraine struck a key oil terminal in western Russia
According to two informed sources and Ukrainian military officials, the agency Reuters reported.
According to the publication, Ukrainian drones attacked two vessels. Region governor Oleksandr Drozdenko confirmed that as a result of the drone attack, one vessel caught fire and a pumping station was set ablaze.
"Primorsk has the capacity to load about 1 million barrels per day (b/d) of oil, making it a key export hub for Russian oil and the largest port in western Russia. The port loads the flagship Russian oil grade Urals, as well as about 300,000 barrels of diesel fuel per day," the report states.
After the drone attack and the suspension of operations at the oil terminal, oil prices in Russia increased by nearly 2%.
