Russia cannot restore strategic aviation after special operation 'Spider's Web'
Despite the Kremlin's attempts to conceal the real scale of losses, the consequences of the attack remain critical for Russian strategic aviation. Russia has not yet been able to compensate for the damage and restore lost capabilities. This is reported by NV with reference to information from Western intelligence services.
The SSU conducted the special operation "Web" on 1 June. It became one of the largest and most unusual operations to destroy Russian strategic aviation aircraft
Already on 2 June, the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed that 41 aircraft were damaged as a result of the simultaneous destruction of four military airfields in the deep rear of the Russian Federation. Among them are A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft, Tu-95, Tu-22M3 and Tu-160 strategic bombers.
Ukrainian drones struck the airbases of Olenya in the Murmansk region, Belaya in the Irkutsk region, Diagilevo in the Ryazan region and Ivanovo in the Ivanovo region of the Russian Federation. The attack on the Belaya airbase was the first attack by Ukrainian forces on military targets in Siberia since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
The special operation was personally developed and coordinated by the then head of the SSU Vasyl Malyuk, and the attack was carried out by the operators of the Alpha drone unit.
