During the night of 29 April and over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked the Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The attacks have resulted in casualties, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.

Kharkiv Region

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 11 other settlements in the region have come under Russian attack. Two people were killed and seven others were injured.

In Chuhuiv, a 74-year-old and a 54-year-old man were killed, and a 46-year-old woman was injured. In the village of Kotlyary, Bezlyudivska community, four people were injured. In Kharkiv, a 70-year-old man was injured, and a 65-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.

On the night of 29 April, Kharkiv was attacked by drones approaching the city from several directions. Damage was recorded in the Osnovyanskyi, Slobidskyi and Nemyshlyanskyi districts.

In the Osnovyanskyi district, the windows of a garden centre in a hypermarket, two buses and a car were damaged. In the Slobidskyi district, trees caught fire after being hit in an open area. In the Nemyshlianskyi district, the windows and roofs of 25 private houses were damaged.

Also in the region, damage has been caused to apartment blocks and private homes, railway infrastructure, cars, buses, a tractor, a shopping centre, power lines, an administrative building, a farm and outbuildings.

Odesa region

In the south of the Odesa region, two people were injured as a result of a massive attack. A 56-year-old woman was hospitalised with multiple shrapnel wounds; doctors assess her condition as serious. A 47-year-old man was also injured.

A district hospital was damaged after being struck by a strike UAV. The admissions department was completely destroyed, and the general medicine, cardiology and surgery departments, as well as the ultrasound and X-ray rooms and other premises, sustained significant damage.

At the time of the attack, medical staff and patients were in shelters. Patients were transferred to another ward.

A fire was also reported within the Danube Biosphere Reserve. Firefighters extinguished fires in residential buildings, a farm building and a garage. A lorry was damaged.

Sumy region

Overnight, Russian forces attacked the Shostka district with drones and a missile. In Shostka, strikes were recorded at three locations.

The residential area came under attack, resulting in large-scale fires. A 60-year-old woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Two more people sought medical assistance.

In one of the apartment blocks, rescue workers saved one person and evacuated a further 16 residents.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 833 strikes on 43 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Three people were injured as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian troops attacked the Nikopol and Synelnykiv districts nearly 20 times using drones, artillery and aerial bombs.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk and Chervonohryhorivka came under attack. An administrative building, private homes and two fire engines were damaged.

A fire broke out in the Pokrovska community of the Synelnykivskyi district. There were no casualties.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, seven people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian strikes.

Two high-rise buildings and 10 private homes, a tow truck and private cars were damaged.

Donetsk region

On 28 April, Russian troops killed two residents of the Donetsk region. The men were killed in Kindrativka and Komyshuvas.

Three more people were injured in Kramatorsk, Tetyanivka and Orykhuvate.
