Russia cannot advance into the Dnipro Delta in the Kherson region: what is the reason?

The Russian occupiers are unable to advance in the Dnipro Delta in the Kherson region. This is due to a critical shortage of boats.

The "ATESH" partisan movement reported this on Telegram.

An agent of this movement, a member of the 70th Motorised Rifle Division of the 18th Combined Arms Army, spoke of the growing crisis regarding the occupiers’ watercraft.

According to him, there are almost no speedboats left on the islands of the Dnipro Delta near Kherson, as Ukrainian drones regularly take them out one by one. At the same time, there are no new boats being supplied.

“The command is pretending that everything is under control. In reality, there are almost no boats left; every time they go out on the water is now a lottery,” the source reported.

As "ATESH" explains, the islands are cut off. Consequently, the transfer of personnel and ammunition across the channels has become a daily risk with no safety net – there is neither cover nor a reserve.

“Rotation is stalling, supplies are being disrupted. Those stuck in their positions are waiting for relief for weeks. Some of the surviving boats are breaking down for reasons the command prefers not to publicise – they are written off as wear and tear and poor maintenance,” the publication states.

In conclusion, the partisan movement added that further information had been passed on to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
