Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have targeted the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions. The attacks have resulted in casualties, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian forces have attacked three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times using drones and artillery. A fire broke out in Kryvyi Rih, infrastructure was damaged, and two men were injured.

The communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovsk were also targeted. A fire broke out in the Bohynivska community in the Synelnykivskyi district following a Russian attack.

Five people who were injured in Dnipro the day before remain in hospital. Among them are two children aged 9 and 14. Doctors assess the condition of all those hospitalised as moderate. A further eight casualties are receiving outpatient treatment.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, seven people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian aggression. Seven private homes, a church and private cars were damaged.

In the morning, Russian forces attacked civilians in the Kherson region using drones. At around 7:00 am in the suburbs of Kherson, a Russian drone struck a moped carrying two people. They died at the scene.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the victims were a 68-year-old man and a woman, whose identity is being established by the relevant authorities. The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that the moped was attacked near Zelenivka.

Donetsk region

In the Donetsk region on 23 April, three people were killed and seven others were injured as a result of Russian shelling.

According to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, the Russians killed two residents of Oleksandrivka and one person in Mykhailivka.

In the Kramatorsk district, a high-rise building in Kramatorsk was destroyed, and three other high-rise buildings and four cars were damaged. In Novodonetsk, five high-rise buildings, 30 garages and two cars were damaged. Three people were injured in Druzhkivka. In Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, two people were killed, two more were injured, and a car was damaged.

In the Bakhmut district, a private house was damaged in Riznykivka, Siverska community. In total, over the past 24 hours, the Russians shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 14 times. 828 people, including 78 children, were evacuated from the front line.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army carried out 629 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and another was injured as a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia and Polohiv districts.

Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv region, two people were injured as a result of a morning attack by Russian Shahed-type drones and falling debris.

In the Mykolaiv district, a 45-year-old woman sustained minor injuries, whilst a 68-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. Both received medical assistance at the scene and declined hospitalisation.

Kharkiv region

Over the past 24 hours, three settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack. Two people were injured.

In the village of Kozacha Lopan, Dergachi community, a 68-year-old woman was injured as a result of shelling. In Kharkiv, a 43-year-old man was injured by the explosion of an unknown device.

Russian forces deployed two guided aerial bombs, two Geran-2 drones, an FPV drone and 10 other drones (type to be confirmed) across the region.

In the Kharkiv district, two private houses were damaged in the village of Tsupivka and the settlement of Kozacha Lopan. In the Chuhuiv district, two private houses and power lines were damaged in the village of Novyi Burluk.

The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 243 people over the past 24 hours. In total, 30,108 people have been registered there since it began operating.

Sumy region

Between the morning of 23 April and the morning of 24 April, Russian forces carried out around 50 strikes on 24 settlements across 13 local communities in the Sumy region.

In the Trostyanets community, a 56-year-old woman was injured as a result of a strike by a Russian drone.

Two more children, who were injured as a result of UAV strikes in the Sumy community on the night of 21 April, also received medical treatment. They are girls aged 12 and 14.
