Russians launched 48 missiles and over 470 drones at Ukraine, dozens of victims
Nine people have died and dozens have been injured as a result of a massive Russian combined strike on Ukraine during the night and morning of November 19. Rescue operations are ongoing, and there may be people under the rubble, reported President Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook.
According to the president, Russia launched over 470 strike UAVs and 48 missiles of various types across Ukraine.
"In Ternopil, there were hits on residential nine-story buildings, fires broke out. Unfortunately, there is significant destruction of buildings, and there may be people under the rubble. All necessary services are working on-site, trying to save every life," – Zelensky noted.
He added that Ukraine's energy, transportation, and civilian infrastructure have been damaged.
Specifically, the invaders attacked energy infrastructure in Ivano-Frankivsk region, resulting in injuries to three people, including two children. The Russians also targeted critical infrastructure and energy facilities in Lviv region.
The president reminded that in the evening, the occupiers struck Kharkiv, resulting in dozens of people, including children, being wounded.
"A person was wounded in Donetsk region. Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were also under attack. Every brazen attack against ordinary life indicates that pressure on Russia is insufficient," – Zelensky stated.
He believes that everything can be changed by "effective sanctions and aid to Ukraine."
"The primary need is missiles for air defense, additional systems, increased capabilities of our combat aviation, and drone production to protect lives. Russia must be held accountable for its actions, and we must focus on everything that strengthens us and allows us to shoot down Russian missiles, neutralize Russian drones, and stop assaults," – Zelensky summarized.
