Drone strikes on Ukrzaliznytsia facilities have been reported in the Kharkiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Rolling stock has been damaged, but there are no casualties.

Russian forces have attacked railway infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions using drones. This was reported by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

According to him, on 5 May at around 07:30 in the Kharkiv region, an enemy drone attacked and destroyed a railway carriage.

No railway workers were injured. Thanks to the work of the monitoring centre, the train conductor moved to a mobile shelter in time, and the locomotive crew was also brought to safety.

In the Poltava region, a drone struck between the tracks near a diesel locomotive. A carriage was damaged, and a fire broke out following the explosion. There were no casualties.

Another strike was recorded at a station in the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the drone attack, an electric locomotive on the track was damaged.

The train had been stopped in advance due to the drone threat. Staff had been warned in good time and were taking shelter. There were no casualties.
