Russian strikes on regions of Ukraine have left people dead and injured

The effects of Russian attacks have been reported in several regions of Ukraine. There have been fatalities and injuries, and damage to residential and civilian infrastructure.

Kyiv Region

Overnight, Russian forces struck a residential area in the Brovary district. Two people were injured and received the necessary medical attention.

In Brovary, a 34-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were injured as a result of a drone attack. The woman suffered a cut to her hand from broken glass, whilst the man sustained a cut to his heel. Hospitalisation was not required.

The windows of a flat, the façade of a high-rise building and a car were damaged.

In the Vyshhorod district, shelling caused a fire at an industrial site, injuring one person. The fire has been extinguished.

In total, three people were injured in the Kyiv region.

Chernihiv region

In the Chernihiv district, in one of the settlements of the Horodnya territorial community, a residential building caught fire as a result of strikes. The fire was extinguished.

Two men, born in 1966 and 1995, were injured and hospitalised.

A strike was also recorded in a forestry area; the fire has been extinguished.

Kharkiv region

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 15 other settlements in the region came under attack. Eight people were killed and 40 injured, including three children.

In Merefa, women aged 74, 41 and 52 and men aged 68, 55 and 63 were killed. Thirty-one people were also injured there, including boys aged 2, 16 and 17.

In Kharkiv, a civilian enterprise, the windows and roof of a single-storey apartment block, and a car were damaged.

In the Izium district, a business in Andriivka was damaged.

In the Kharkiv district, 24 private homes and seven apartment blocks, four shops, a car service centre, an administrative building, 22 cars, a catering establishment, office premises and power lines in Merefa were damaged. In Peresichne, an administrative building and two private homes were damaged; in Bezlyudivka, three private homes were damaged.

Russian forces deployed six missiles, two guided aerial bombs, 17 ‘Geran-2’ drones, one ‘Lancet’ drone, nine ‘Molniya’ UAVs, three FPV drones and 27 drones, the type of which is yet to be determined.

Sumy region

Russian forces struck the outskirts of Sumy, reportedly with a guided aerial bomb. A fire broke out, which has been contained.

Warehouse buildings and around ten vehicles were damaged. No casualties were reported.

Donetsk region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed three residents of the region. Two were killed in Dobropillia, and one in Novotroitske.

A further seven people were injured.
