Russian troops attacked Pavlohrad, killing two people and injuring a further 13. According to the chair of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, this was the first time the city had been struck by a guided aerial bomb.

Russian troops have launched an attack on Pavlohrad. According to Oleksandr Ganza, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, two people were killed as a result of the attack.

Initial reports indicated eight people had been injured, but this figure later rose to 13. Eleven of the injured, who were in a moderately serious condition, were admitted to hospital. Among them are men aged 56 and 38, women aged 87 and 48, and a 13-year-old girl. Two further casualties will receive outpatient treatment. A one-year-old child is among those undergoing medical examinations.

The strike caused damage to blocks of flats and cars in the city.

Mykola Lukashuk, Chair of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, reported that Pavlohrad had been struck by a guided aerial bomb for the first time.

“Until now, guided aerial bombs had posed a threat to the frontline communities of the Synelnykivskyi district. Pavlohrad had lived under rocket fire and ‘shahids’, but had not experienced guided aerial bombs. Now the enemy is modernising these bombs and using them to strike further inland. Unfortunately, this is a new reality for Pavlohrad,” said Lukashuk.

It was previously reported that over the past 24 hours, Russian troops had attacked three districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones on more than ten occasions.
