Russia lost 39 artillery systems in the last 24 hours

Russian military casualties in the war against Ukraine over the past 24 hours have risen by a further thousand or so. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have also destroyed dozens of vehicles and artillery systems.

The total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of 27 May 2026, stand at approximately 1,358,950 personnel.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army lost a further 1,000 troops in the past 24 hours alone.

Ukrainian forces also destroyed one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles and 39 artillery systems.

Russia’s total losses since the start of the full-scale war amount to:

  • 11,955 tanks,
  • 24,618 armoured fighting vehicles,
  • 42,790 artillery systems,
  • 1,805 multiple launch rocket systems,
  • 1,397 air defence systems,
  • 436 aircraft,
  • 353 helicopters,
  • 313,342 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles,
  • 4,687 cruise missiles,
  • 33 ships and boats,
  • 2 submarines,
  • 99,645 vehicles and tankers,
  • 4,224 units of specialist equipment,
  • 1,485 ground-based robotic systems.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces also destroyed 1,307 tactical-level drones, 271 vehicles and tankers, ten ground-based robotic systems and three units of specialist equipment.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the figures are being finalised.
