Serhiy Rebrov has posted a bail of 30 million hryvnias for Andriy Yermak
Serhiy Rebrov, a former player for Kyiv’s Dynamo and ex-head coach of the Ukrainian national team, has posted a bail of 30 million hryvnias for Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President’s Office. This was reported by Radio Svoboda, citing sources within law enforcement agencies.
According to journalists, there is only one person with that full name in the databases. This refers to Serhiy Stanislavovych Rebrov.
Journalists note that Rebrov did not respond to calls or messages.
Rebrov had previously spoken of support from Yermak
Earlier, in an interview with the YouTube channel ‘Bombardir’, Serhiy Rebrov stated that Andriy Yermak had been instrumental in his return to the post of head coach of the Ukrainian national team.
“I am very grateful to Andriy, very grateful to the people who really helped me return to Ukraine,” Rebrov said.
He also stated that he has known Yermak for many years.
“I’ve known Andriy for a very long time. Even before he became the president’s aide. He’s a very decent man. We speak quite often. He was the one who encouraged me to return to Ukraine and work with the national team, but that was before Russia’s full-scale aggression,” said Rebrov.
On 22 April 2026, Serhiy Rebrov stepped down as head coach of the Ukraine national team following criticism over the team’s failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals.
The court set bail at 140 million hryvnias
On 14 May, the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on Andriy Yermak in the form of detention, with the possibility of bail set at 140 million hryvnias.
Yermak is suspected of involvement in a case concerning the laundering of 460 million hryvnias during an elite construction project near Kyiv.
According to the NABU, between 2021 and 2025, the suspects laundered over 460 million hryvnias through the construction of a cottage community in the village of Kozin, Kyiv Oblast.
The investigation claims that this involved the construction of four private residences with ancillary buildings and a separate spa area on plots of land with a total area of around eight hectares.
Yermak calls the charges brought against him unfounded.
Over 44 million hryvnias have already been paid on Yermak’s behalf
A bail of 14,500,666 hryvnias has already been paid for Andriy Yermak. The funds were contributed by three individuals. The amounts of the individual contributions ranged from 666 hryvnias to eight million hryvnias.
Yermak’s lawyer stated yesterday that he expects the full bail amount to be raised.
“I know that 30 million has already been paid – that’s 100% – and, I think, another 19 million,” he said.
Currently, the total amount of bail paid stands at around 44.5 million hryvnias. Approximately 95.4 million hryvnias remain to be paid in full.
