Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law No. 4783-IX, which establishes a daily nationwide minute of silence at 9:00 a.m. to honour the victims of war.

This was reported on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Honouring the Memory of Compatriots Who Died as a Result of Armed Aggression by the Russian Federation."

The document systematises and enshrines at the state level the procedure for holding a nationwide minute of silence.

According to the law, a daily minute of silence at 9:00 a.m. to honour the memory of those who died as a result of Russia's armed aggression has been given clear legal status.

The adopted amendments are aimed at creating a single nationwide space of remembrance, within which the state and society will pay daily tribute to citizens who died defending Ukraine or fell victim to Russian aggression.

The law also regulates the procedure for holding relevant memorial events at the state level.
