Syrsky held a meeting at the General Staff Headquarters on medical priorities in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a meeting at the General Staff Headquarters dedicated to issues of medical care in the Armed Forces. He announced this on his Facebook page following a meeting with the relevant military services.
According to Syrskyi, he is personally overseeing the issue of medical care. The key priorities remain preserving the lives and health of Ukrainian servicemen, the timely evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield, and providing them with quality medical care. He stressed that work in this area is being consistently intensified.
During the meeting, they discussed the development of capabilities and improvement of technologies for evacuating the wounded, as well as the further development and use of separate medical battalions. According to the commander-in-chief, these units have already proven their effectiveness and provide qualified assistance to the wounded on a daily basis.
Oleksandr Syrskyi also heard reports from relevant services on the provision of medical supplies and equipment to units, as well as the state of medical supply logistics. The meeting participants focused separately on optimising the supply of medical equipment in areas where combat missions are being carried out and on staffing units with combat medics.
Special attention was paid to training personnel in tactical pre-hospital care. As Syrskyi emphasised, in modern combat conditions, it is critically important that every properly trained serviceman possesses the basic skills to provide such care. In this regard, the main efforts are planned to be directed towards improving training and providing personnel.
Following the meeting, the commander-in-chief set the task of preparing practical proposals for further strengthening the medical direction in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
